Sid and Charlie met during the Vietnam War. Both from Colorado, they developed a deep bond that lasted for life. While in ’Nam, during a chicken shoot-out, Charlie and Sidney first dreamed up the idea of a theme park. Their motto at the time: “Fuck the war. Fuck Nixon.”

After returning home and working on the park, Charlie Love was elected mayor — even as he slowly went blind from Agent Orange.

Sidney’s Orbital Sphere was created as a place where everyone, from every nation, would be welcomed and loved without condition. Some call it the Golden Rule. Here, it’s known as the Prime Directive: Love, live, laugh, and let be. Don’t hurt others, and be yourself. Free speech and expression reign supreme.

As Sidney LaBarr always said: “It all started with LOVE.”
